AA Program


Mission Statement

Challenge, motivate, teach and inspire AA Players to reach their full potential by providing a well defined and structured program.  Each player will have the opportunity to achieve excellence by having the support of an association that is committed to integrity, respect and sportsmanship.

 

BAHA is pleased to announce the following Head Coach Positions for the 2021-2022 hockey season:

U13AA Head Coach - Trevor Matter

U15AA Head Coach - Scott McAuley

U16AA Head Coach -  Trevor McCallion

U18AA Head Coach - Chris Newton

 

PARENT MEETING - you will be asked to sign in for this meeting so attendance is mandatory by at least one parent   

U13 AA Meeting will be in the back parking lot of the KNRCC on August 30th at 5pm.

U15 AA Meeting will be in the back parking lot of the KNRCC on September 6th at 5 pm.

U16 AA Meeting will be in the back parking lot of the KNRCC on September 17th at 6:45 pm

U18 AA Meeting will be in the back parking lot of the KNRCC on September 13th at 7:00 pm. ***Please note date and time change***

 

The $200 AA tryout fee is due before or at your player's first ice time and can be paid by e-transfer, cash, or cheque.

E-transfers can be sent to treasurer@baha.ab.ca password hockey **Please put your child's name and level trying out for in the comment section**

Should your player earn a spot on BAHA U13AA, U15AA, U16AA or U18AA please note the following:

Our AA team requirements are extra time and financial commitments, please be aware of all team requirements prior to final team selection.

**Start Dates for AA TRYOUTS: 

U13 AA

Tentative dates for the U13AA conditioning skates are August 19th, 23rd, 25th, and 27th. *These skates are included in your AA tryout fee but are NOT being evaluated*

Tentative dates for the evaluation scrimmages are August 30th, September 1st, and September 3rd.

U13AA goalie evaluations are tentatively scheduled for August 20th and 26th.

U15 AA

Tentative dates for the U15AA conditioning skates are August 30th, August 31st, September 1st, and September 2nd. *These skates are included in your AA tryout fee but are NOT being evaluated*

Tentative dates for the evaluation scrimmages are September 6th, 7th, and 9th.

U15AA goalie evaluations are tentatively scheduled for August 29th and 31st. 

 

U16AA 

Tentative dates for the U16AA conditioning skates are September 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th. *These skates are included in your AA tryout fee but are NOT being evaluated*

Tentative dates for the evaluation scrimmages are September 18th, 19th, and 20th.

U16AA goalie evaluations are tentative scheduled for September 3rd and 10th.

 

U18 AA 

Tentative dates for the U18AA conditioning skates are September 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th. *These skates are included in your AA tryout fee but are NOT being evaluated*

Tentative dates for the evaluation scrimamges are September 11th, 12th, and 13th.

U18AA goalie evaluations are tentatively scheduled for September 3rd and 10th.

Once a player is confirmed to a AA team, an additional AA Program Fee will be applied which will be due once the teams have been confirmed.

Estimated AA Fees and Payment Schedule:

There will be the option to pay AA fees in 3 equal payments or all at once. 

U13AA - $1500

U15AA - $1700

U16AA - $1600

U18AA - $1700

 


AA teams will receive additional practice ice and game slots.
Amounts indicated are an estimate based on the previous year's AA budget and may be subject to change.  These fees are to cover costs incurred by the association

 

Equipment and AA Dress Code

Each season, AA players will be provided with BAHA AA; socks, practice jerseys and pant shells -  these items are to be kept by the players. 

All players will be required to have/or purchase BAHA approved Hockey Bag, Dryland Gear & Wool Dress Jacket before being allowed to play with a AA team.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Volunteer commitments for AA players follows BAHA's Volunteer Program; 2 Volunteer Shifts/Child OR the option to Buy Out Volunteer Shifts at time of Registration.
  • CLICK HERE for Information on BAHA's Volunteer Program and/or to sign up for available shifts.
  • Note: There will be NO REFUNDS on Volunteer Buy Outs this season, DO NOT choose this option if there is a possibility you may manage, coach, jersey parent or work an event.  You can buy out your shifts after registration, before Jan 1, 2022, should you choose not to volunteer (however, you are responsible for fulfilling any shifts you have signed up for or finding a member to replace you).
